I have maintained a sole-practitioner general law practice since 2008, with emphasis on municipal law, real estate matters, landlord/tenant issues, estate planning and probate and business organizations. From 2012-2022, I served as the Town Attorney for the Town of Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado. Currently, I represent the City Attorney for the City of Gunnison, CO, and general counsel for the Gunnison Valley Transportation Authority and Mountain Express.

I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, but have lived in Colorado since I was two years old. I graduated from Ponderosa High School, in Parker, CO. I graduated from Knox College in Galesburg, IL with a double major in history and political science. I graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1991, cum laude. After law school, I returned to Colorado and began looking for a job in a mountain or small community. I moved to Gunnison in June 1995 to begin my legal career with a local law firm. I have been fortunate to be able to live and work in the valley I love since that time.

My outside interests include pickleball, hiking, camping, lake days, long walks with the dogs, cultural activities, and nearly anything outside or with friends.
